
Andrew Ward is the product of international and language immersion schools as well as a former teacher in them. With a Master of Education degree focusing on international education and an additional MS in International development, he is academically suited to helping the school run smoothly. He has studied seven languages and lived and worked in more than twenty countries. Ward is a vocal member of the community contributing his presentation skills and organizational leadership abilities to groups dedicated to everything from environmental remediation to increasing awareness of the Islamic World.

Karen Mayer Dwyer CPA is a native of New Orleans, Mother of three children and owns her
own business. Karen obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Nicholls State University, and has 37 years experience in public accounting. Her accounting practice is primarily a tax practice, consulting and bookkeeping. Her working experience includes working with for profit businesses and non-profits from start up to dissolution. Karen’s professional memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, AICPA), the Louisiana Certified Public Accounts (LCPA), and the Association of Women Accountants ( ASWA). In addition to being a licensed Certified Public Accountant she is also a Quickbooks Pro Advisor. Karen has been an active Community Volunteer for over 20 years and in 2009 she received on the state level the LCPA’s Distinguished Public Service Award and on the national level she was the recipient of the 2009 AICPA Public Service Award. Karen currently serves as the Vice Chair/Treasurer of the Non Profit Board Voices for International Business and Education, is a Committee Member of the Non Profit Board International School of Louisiana and Board Member of the Non Profit A Child’s Wish of Greater New Orleans.

Robert E. Couhig III is an associate in the firm of Couhig Partners, L.L.C. He attended Jesuit High School, graduating Cum Laude in 2000. He earned a B.S.F. S. in International Politics in 2000 from Georgetown University. He graduated with a J.D./B.C.L degree from the Paul M. Hebert law Center in 2005.

Harry Blumenthal is a native of New Orleans . He graduated from Isidore Newman School in New Orleans and from Yale College. He was an owner of an International Textile Company where he worked from 1968 to 2009, serving as President and CEO from 1988 to 2009. He has served on various community boards and commissions including the Xaiver University Advisory Board and The Editorial Advisory Board of the Times Picayune. He has also served as Chairman of the Board of Isidore Newman School, Chairman of the Board of The Greater New Orleans Foundation, President of Congregation Temple Sinai , Vice Chairman of the Louisiana Board of Ethics, and Vice Chairman of the Vieux Carre Commission of New Orleans .
Edward Graf is the Co-Director of College Counseling at Isidore Newman School in New Orleans, Louisiana. He has a BA in History from Tulane University and an M. Ed. from Loyola University-New Orleans in Elementary School Administration. He also serves on the Administrative Leadership Team of Newman School, on the Department Chairs Committee, and is an advisor and golf coach. Previously at Newman he was the Middle School Dean of Students and a Middle School mathematics teacher. He recently just finished a term as President of the Southern Association for College Admission Counseling and is currently serving on their Board of Directors as the Immediate Past-President.
Errol George is a business management and community development consultant with several years of private sector experience directing and coordinating the delivery of business management, development support, and advisory services to clients; and several years of federal and state governmental experience in public administration, and public policy development and analysis. George has consulted on local, state, and national projects including the UNOP Citywide Strategic Recovery and Rebuilding Plan effort for the City of New Orleans, and Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development’s Statewide DBE Support Services Program, as well as other projects. In addition to working as a private sector consultant, George worked briefly for both the U.S. Senate and the Louisiana Legislature. George also served as Legislative Committee Chairman for the American Planning Association-Louisiana Chapter, where he worked to develop smart growth and development policies and legislation for implementation throughout the state. George holds a Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree from the University of New Orleans College of Urban and Public Affairs (CUPA), where he is currently pursuing a PhD in Urban Studies.

Laval Hughes has worked as in International Guidance ESL Resource Teacher for fifteen years. As an educator Laval taught English for three years, taught English, Algebra and was a Counselor at Delgado Community College for ten years, and taught elementary and ESL
education for New Orleans Public Schools for twenty-five years.

Liljana Mamoorian Johnson serves to improve quality of life for New Orleans residents through her professional and volunteer commitments. Formerly involved in community-level prevention initiatives, Liljana is now with the National Network of Public Health Institutes working on several national initiatives promoting use of evidence-based interventions and a national performance standards program. She holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Tulane University’s School of Public Health. As public health is rooted in prevention, assessment, and driven by data to protect the public’s health, Liljana works with the IHS community to foster a strong health foundation for a fulfilling and productive learning environment for IHS learners. To ultimately drive development of IHS students as lifelong learners with multicultural understanding and critical analysis skills requires thoughtful action through accountability of VIBE and the IHS community, with development of robust systems, policies and processes in place. Liljana is proud to serve IHS learners through cyclical improvement promoting the strongest environment to succeed.

Maria Garcia is a customer Service Associate, Elementary school teacher from Honduras with strong
organizational and inter personal skills with an ability to multitask a variety of responsibilities and challenges, better than average computer skills. Fully bilingual have worked for two American Based companies in Honduras and am currently working at Pan-American Life Insurance Group.
Maria George is a graduate of Xavier University with a B.A. in Education and Masters Degrees in Curriculum and Administration and Supervision. She spent 34.5 years in the Orleans Parish School System as a teacher and Core Administrator. Maria currently spends her time as a community activist working with the AARP as an Outreach Coordinator (DIT Team) and the NAACP. She is also President of the Louisiana Retired Teachers, District 1.

Molly Oehmichen, BSE, MBA, is a born-but-not-raised New Orleanian whose interests include technology, entrepreneurship, finance, psychology, and communications. She is currently the Editor in Chief of Silicon Bayou News and a Senior Consultant with ECG Management Consultants. Molly holds an undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Tulane University and master’s degree from the University of New Orleans.
