Information Requests Starting January 2026 and Beyond
Starting in 2026, student records will be available from the Louisiana Department of Education. Information on how to obtain student records from the LDOE may be found below.
Student Records
To request a student record, you must submit a completed personal consent form to the Louisiana Department of Education, along with a copy of the consenting person's driver’s license for identity verification. Please email all documents to ldedata@la.gov.
Duplicate High School Transcripts
Copies of your high school transcript can be ordered through the Louisiana Department of Education.
The LDOE has partnered with Parchment, a leader in eTranscript exchange, to send high school transcripts and education verifications electronically, securely, and confidentially to institutions. The service is available online 24 hours a day and seven days a week. IHSNO alumni can request a transcript and send it to the academic institution, organization, or individual of their choice. Users will be notified when their request is complete and can track the status of their request or view a saved copy of their transcript. Click here to request an eTranscript via Parchment.
Duplicate Diplomas
Duplicate diplomas may be requested from the LDOE. Please email transcripts@la.gov for more information.
Standardized Test Scores
It is the student’s responsibility to submit all official ACT and/or SAT scores to the colleges, universities, and scholarship programs to which they have submitted applications. When taking these tests throughout the academic year, students have the option to request their scores be sent to up to four schools and/or scholarship programs as part of the test registration fee. If this option is not chosen, students must request additional scores to be sent by visiting www.act.org or, www.collegeboard.com and clicking “additional scores”. Students should be prepared to pay an additional fee when choosing this option for submission of score reports. IHSNO does not provide copies of ACT or SAT scores.
FERPA
Please note that the Louisiana Department of Education releases student records in accordance with the CFR 34.99, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) which does not require immediate release of copies of student transcripts. Requests are processed within 45 business days.
FERPA, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, is a federal law that gives parents and students certain rights with respect to a student’s educational records. These rights include the right to access, inspect and request correction of those records. FERPA provides certain rights to parents of students under 18 years old concerning the privacy of, and access to, the child’s personally identifiable information, including Educational Records.
